EVE Online 2025 Roadmap Unveiled: Two Expansions and Fanfest Return

CCP Games has revealed an exciting 2025 roadmap for EVE Online, featuring two major expansions, the return of popular in-game events, and the highly anticipated EVE Fanfest at Reykjavík’s Harpa Concert Hall from May 1–3, 2025.

The first expansion, arriving in Summer 2025, will continue the Revenant narrative arc, focusing on the escalating conflict between the Deathless and the Drifters. Players will gain enhanced tools to customize sovereign space, empowering corporations to shape their own agendas and create unique content. This update aims to deepen the sandbox experience, fostering dynamic, player-driven gameplay in New Eden.

A new feature, Freelance Projects, will allow pilots to design and complete missions created by other players, encouraging collaboration, storytelling, and conflict. With new ships, tactical objectives, and tools for fleets of all sizes, the expansion will redefine warfare in EVE Online, offering fresh opportunities for both small and large groups to thrive.

“We’re giving capsuleers more power than ever to shape their own stories and leave their mark on New Eden,” said Snorri Árnason, EVE Online Game Director. Creative Director Bergur Finnbogason added, “2025 will be a landmark year, filled with alliances, betrayals, and unforgettable moments.”

Fan-favorite events like Capsuleer Day, Crimson Harvest, and Winter Nexus will return, alongside the competitive Alliance Tournament. A second expansion is slated for Winter 2025.
